JURIED EXHIBITION

Theme
Inspired and sponsored in part by artist Michi Susan, this Paseo Arts Association juried exhibition CHALLENGES artists to create a mixed media, three-dimensional container of some type. The judge will look at originality and how well the artist interprets the idea of containment.

Specifications
Open to all 3D work of any media; the work must include at least two disparate media. The size limitation is up to 24” in any direction. Size limitations will be enforced. Work presented for the exhibition must be ready for display on wall or pedestal.

Artists in Oklahoma 18 years and older.

The 15th annual international juried exhibition of contemporary craft at the Wayne Art Center in Wayne, PA. All works will be juried digitally online. The American Tapestry Alliance

The American Tapestry Alliance is a not-for-profit, member-supported organization seeking to exhibit the best of contemporary tapestry. Since 1986 ATA has sponsored a biennial, juried exhibition. ATA invites submissions from all tapestry artists for ATB 8.

Eligibility
Entry to ATB 8 is open to all artists who design and weave their own tapestries (defined as “handwoven, weft-faced fabric with discontinuous wefts”) either individually or collaboratively (all assistants shall be named). Entries must be one-of-a-kind and have been completed after January 2006. Artists may submit two entries for consideration.

Submissions (truncated)
• The juror will select tapestries from digital images; image quality may influence the juror’s decision. Only completed tapestries will be juried.
• Entries must be submitted as digital file on CD; if two entries are submitted, both may be on the same CD.
• Tapestries must be available for the duration of the exhibition until July 2011.
