We are excited to announce that Stephanie Grubbs had one of her art pieces, Small World, accepted into the Fiberart International Exhibition in Pittsburgh, PA which is sponsored by the Fiberarts Guild of Pittsburgh Inc. The jurors chose 87 pieces out of 1600 entries! Congratulations, Stephanie, we are so proud of you! Many of you will remember this piece because it was in our own exhibit, Fiberworks 2009 this past summer.

Tuesdays at Sundown –Feltmaking with guest lecturer Pamela Husky

For more than 10,000 years, wool felt has been used for clothing, housing (yurts), carpets and blankets.  Today, felt is also used in industry and architecture to control vibration, sound and pollution.  Felt has unlimited applications in both 2D and 3D design. Felter Pamela Husky  will provide a history of the craft, contemporary felt works and a demonstration of the feltmaking process.

Calling jewelry creators: bead stringers, bead weavers, wire wrappers, and polymer clay enthusiasts.

Imagine having  3 hours of uninterrupted beading  and jewelry making. No phones, television, or someone looking for you; just people like yourself with the same or similar passion for working with beads, wire, or polymer clay. Consider it an early holiday present to yourself. Bring your current project or enough supplies to start a new one. Bring some finished pieces for show and tell. Please consider a donation to help offset room rent. Expect to have 3 hours of fun, fun, fun.
